Children and Adolescents
I provide children and adolescents the necessary tools to help them express their feelings properly, identify and solve problems, and establish healthy coping skills. I also help children and adolescents struggling with anger, low self-esteem, and emotion regulation.
Anger Issues
Experiencing emotions is a part of the human experience; however, many children and adolescents struggle with anger and are unaware or unable to articulate the deeper emotions behind their frustrations. In managing anger, it’s imperative to understand that anger is a secondary emotion. Often, the primary emotion is hurt, disappointment, fear, sadness, guilt, etc. With compassion and insight, We assist children and adolescents in naming and processing these difficult feelings, leading them to an improved mood and outlook.
Self-Esteem, Self-Acceptance, and Self-Compassion
Self-esteem refers to how much we like or value ourselves. Many youth struggle with cultivating a healthy self-esteem or view of self. The lack of self-value often stems from comparisons with others. The issue of comparison lies deeply in social media, as it is a huge influence on today’s youth. Guiding our youth towards self-acceptance and self-compassion is a major element in building the foundation of their emotional wellness.
Emotional Regulation
Emotional regulation is our ability to monitor and control our emotions.
Most adults, over time have fostered tools that assist them with managing their emotions. Children and adolescents experience the same array of emotions as their elders, but have not yet mastered the skills needed to identify and process them. By normalizing emotions, we will empower and help clients to recognize their emotions, name them and also understand the emotions that others may be feeling or displaying and assist them in matching emotional reactions to the situation.
Studies have shown that children who can control their emotions perform better in school, have fewer behavioral problems, and develop more meaningful friendships.

Good Faith Estimate
Effective January 1, 2023, you are entitled to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of what charges could be for psychotherapy services provided to you. While it is not possible for a psychotherapist to know in advance how many psychotherapy sessions may be necessary or appropriate for a given person, this form provides an estimate of the cost of services provided. Your total cost of services will depend upon the number of psychotherapy sessions you attend, your individual circumstances, and the type and amount of services that are provided to you. This estimate is not a contract and does not obligate you to obtain any services from the provider.
The Good Faith Estimate is not intended to serve as a recommendation for treatment or a prediction that you may need to attend a specified number of psychotherapy visits. The number of visits that are appropriate in your case, and the estimated cost for those services, depend on your needs and what you agree to in consultation with your therapist. You are entitled to disagree with any recommendations made to you concerning your treatment, and you may discontinue treatment at any time.
If you are paying for services privately or out of pocket, a Good Faith Estimate of the costs you may incur for psychotherapy services will be provided to you prior to your initial appointment.
