What is Urgent Care?

Urgent care is a form of medical treatment for illnesses and injuries that are non-life threatening emergencies. Telehealth urgent care connects a patient to a medical provider through a virtual visit on a smartphone or
computer.

    What is Telehealth Urgent Care?
    Telehealth urgent care allows for you to have a virtual visit from the comfort of your home, one on one with a board certified medical provider. During this visit, you will address your medical needs and the reason for your appointment.
    First, to schedule an appointment with Bass Comprehensive Wellness Care, click the “request appointment ” button and follow the easy step by step prompts. During your telehealth visit, you will speak with your provider on a video call via your smartphone, tablet or computer. The provider will take a thorough history, listen to your concerns and allow time for questions. Your provider will then develop a treatment plan and prescribe any medication if needed and send it to your pharmacy of choice.
    Following your visit, you will have access to the patient portal for up to 72 hours to connect with your provider for any additional questions or concern from your recent appointment. 
    What are the costs for Urgent Care services?
    Insured patients will have a co-payment based on their insurance plan. Uninsured or cash paying patients will have a flat fee  of $75.00 for a telehealth appointment. We make it convenient for you to access urgent care services from the comfort of your home.
    We accept the following insurance for Urgent Care: Amerigroup, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Medicare, Humana, United Health Care, TriCare,  and VA- Community Care Network.
    If you have health insurance with a provider not listed, you may be able to use out-of-network benefits, in which your insurance provider may reimburse you a portion of monies spent on services.  
    Are Prescriptions Available?

      Yes, you can receive prescription medication online through a telehealth
     urgent care visit. A provider with Bass Comprehensive Wellness Care
     prescribe antibiotics, antivirals, and other medications based on your
     care diagnosis. Once your prescription is written, the telehealth
    provider will send it to a local pharmacy of your choice for pickup. We make
     it easy for you to get the prescriptions you need online.

    Urgent Care or Emergency Room?

    Emergency rooms (ER) are meant for serious, life threatening illnesses  and injuries, while urgent care services are for less severe, minor conditions. Examples of reason to be seen at an ER include chest pain, stroke like symptoms, major wounds or severe burns. Urgent Care (both in-person and virtual) can treat conditions such as flu, common cold, ear infections, sinus infections and urinary tract infections.
